2009 Applique Block of the Month
We warmly
welcome back participants of our 2008 Hearts-A-Flutter Block of the Month! About
our quilt design . . . A few years ago, I designed a quilt called: “Take a Break” and it
is a great design to use for a BOM. Taking a break is something we all deserve, especially in these stressful times.
My wish is that you will make this quilt for *you*, but of course, please give it to someone as a gift to enjoy if that is
what is in your heart. Whomever your finished quilt ends up with, I hope for a relaxing break underneath the comfort
of the quilt you spent hours making! The finished quilt shows a variety of blocks: teapots, tea
cups, coffee urns, espresso cups, etc. Our design will also include desserts, plates, and utensils. The designs
are all easy to make and attractive and will show off the fabric you choose beautifully! If you so choose, you can embellish
the appliqué designs with a simple embroidery stitch as I’ve done.
